Description Sword (.A) and scabbard (.B) presented to Dr. Eduard Boeckmann by the staff of Bethesda Hospital, Saint Paul. The model 1860 Staff and Field Officer's sword has rayskin grip and gold bullion sword knot. The gold washed blade is etched with "Major Edward Boeckmann from Bethesda Hospital and Staff 1898". "CHAS F. PUSCH, ST. PAUL, MINN" etched in ricasso. Scabbard is steel decorated with gold-colored metal and has three suspension rings.
