Notes

  • As part of the Jeffers Petroglyphs Conservation Project (2008 Capital Bond Project), the Minnesota Historical Society contracted with the University of Minnesota's Evolutionary Anthropology Lab (EAL) in 2011 to conduct white light scanning on a portion of the petroglyphs. The scanning provided a zero impact method of acquiring baseline documentation of the rock face and three-dimensional images of individual carvings. Master digital files, in obj file format, are available for research use at the Jeffers Petroglyphs Historic Site. Contact Site Manager for access.
