Description: Three-pocket colorless plastic packet displaying the stages of the taconite mining process, produced as promotional material by the Iron Mining Industry of Minnesota. Each pocket contains a sample of taconite, including "Crude Taconite","Concentrate" and "Pellets", and a printed description of the mining process that created each sample. The reverse of the packet is printed with information about Minnesota taconite, the mining process, and the benefits that taconite mining offers the state of Minnesota.
