Description: Wood tennis racket and frame used by John McHie, Jr. of Minnesota, circa 1950. The A. G. Spalding & Bros. racket was produced by Dunlop and features intact stringing and handle tape. Both sides of the handle feature a portrait of Vincent Richards, a famous tennis player of the 1920s, with his signature beneath. Racket frame consists of two trapezoidal wood frames joined by four screws with wing nuts to secure the two halves of the frame around the racket. See also Beneta McHie's racket, ID Number 2016.6.1.
