Soldier's cornet and case

| Description | Silver cornet (.1) in its original leather case (.2). The cornet was used by Arthur W. Riches, who served as principal musician in the 13th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Spanish-American War. The cornet's horn is engraved "Presented to Principal Musician Arthur W. Riches by the Officers / 13th Minn. Vol. Inf." The locking leather case has a carrying handle and a large front flap covering a pocket. |
