Description: Snare drum reportedly used by Private Daniel Farquhar of the 1st Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company A, at the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1, 1863. Private Farquhar served as the artifcer (mechanic or repairman) for the company. He was wounded at the battles of Antietam and Gettysburg.
