Description: Female stuffed cloth doll has hair that is possibly moose hair. The face has penciled and embroidered features. She wears a faded bluish black wool strap dress. The straps and long-sleeved cape are dark red wool bound with white cotton strips and trimmed with medium yellow green seed beads in sets of three. Brilliant yellow cotton is tied at the waist. She wears a five strand beaded necklace in brilliant yellow, very purplish blue and very light green blue seed beads. The leggings are dark red wool trimmed with white cotton binding and dark red cotton ties below her knees. The feet are leather, probably deerskin. A piece of black velveteen has been added under the skirt and stitched in the back at the belt. The doll is from the White Earth Indian Reservation, Minnesota.
