Description Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden red and green appliqué cotton quilt. The quilt has a center medallion showing the sun, stars and four phases of the moon. In the four quadrants of the quilt are scenes from the Old Testament story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. A meandering grapevine borders the scenes. Made by Mrs. Dorothy Redding’s grandmother, Mrs. Mary Worthington Walker (Mrs. Samuel Foster) in Belchertown, Massachusetts, circa 1850.
