Description BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Webster was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 11, 1909 (but registered February 15, 1909). Her parents were David Oscar Leonard of Racine, Wisconsin (born in 1886) and Mattie McIntosh of Minneapolis, Minnesota (born in 1887). SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Mrs. Webster recalls family history, including of her great-grandparents, who lived in Mendota, Dakota County, Minnesota as early as 1860. She also discusses the early black community in Minneapolis, including about social clubs, lodges, churches, businesses and old families.

    This story I remember being passed down from my grandmother who is one of Polletta V. Webster's eight children so she would be my Great grandmother. I can't wait to order the voice transcript and hear her voice again!
