Atlases and Plat Books
Lavishly illustrated county and city atlases were popular items for Minnesota cartographic publishing houses during the late 19th and early 20th century. They included colorful hand drawn maps, advertisements, photographs of notable residents and buildings, and property owner indexes. The last series of these atlases was published during the WWI era, and later offereings were much plainer in style. The following atlases are from this final period. Each book contains township maps that have been georeferenced for viewing in Google Earth or on the Map Explorer page.
