About the Voices of Minnesota

In 2012, the Central Collections Services Department of the Minnesota Historical Society received funding from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund to digitize and make available online existing oral history interviews from the Society’s collection. The goal of this project was to ensure long-term preservation of these materials and to extend their reach to a much broader audience.

This site presents the full audio interviews and transcripts for each oral history project digitized under the auspices of this program. The interviews can also be accessed on cassette tape or CD at the Minnesota Historical Society Library.
