She lived in Colorado and California and came to Minnesota in 1935, where she met and married Gabriel Avaloz. She has five children. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Family history, her own and her husband's; St. Paul's Mexican-American community when she arrived; holidays celebrated by Mexican Americans; weddings and baptisms; and advice to younger generations. COMMENTS ON INTERVIEW: In Spanish, transcribed into English.
