Promoted as "The Celebrated Red Wing Jugs, " these popular products were sold in dozens of different shapes and sizes. With a nearly unlimited amount of uses, from the liquor trade to perfume storage, the jugs remained in production from the late 1870s to 1947.

Dates Creation: Approximately 1900 - Not later than 1947 (In an 11/15/1895 price list for the Union Stoneware Company, there is a mention of several products, including shoulder jugs available in the white glaze (Bristol or zinc glaze), but it appears that the white glaze finish did not become a staple of production in Red Wing until about 1900. The top of the jug has a brown ware or Albany slip glaze finish.)
