Not Waiting for a Cure Oral History Project: Interview with John Weiser M.D.
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Dr. Weiser is a founding physician of Abbot Northwestern Hospital's Clinic 42, Minneapolis's most complete primary health care center for people with HIV disease. Weiser was interviewed shortly before moving to New York City to establish a community clinic in the Bronx, one of New York's most impoverished areas. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Weiser discusses his hopes to transfer the lessons learned from HIV to other diseases and his growing sense of patriotism. COMMENTS ON INTERVIEW: Poor sound quality on recording.
