Notes

  • Donor Statement: "In 2007 when the city of Kinney celebrated the 40th anniversary of the secession and reissued passports, I was thrilled to buy one at Liquid Larry's bar and become part of this event in Iron Range history. I was the education coordinator at Ironworld (Chisholm, MN) at the time and felt very strongly about this regional history being preserved and celebrated. As I left the Iron Range in 2009 to attend grad school in Florida, I made sure the passport was in my wallet--where it remained ever since as a reminder of who I was an an Iron Ranger and an opportunity to share the story of the Republic of Kinney with anyone who was interested."
